Home Energy Audits

A full assessment of your home’s energy consumption and ways to reduce energy bills by as much as 33%

Blower Door Testing

The home is depressurized, and using specially calibrated meters, air leakage of the home envelope is measured. Air leakage can be the number 1 cost for energy loss, even in a well-insulated home. Air leaks not only rob the home of energy but also allow moisture to enter with the unconditioned outdoor air. Moisture not only makes the home less comfortable but could potentially lead to mold.

Thermography

Thermal imaging cameras are used to help access where the leaks are in a home. Using this technology, virtually all air leaks in a home become detectable. From there, a plan is presented to the homeowner on ways to stop air leaks and improve overall efficiency of the home from top to bottom

HVAC Ductwork Leak Detection

Using our duct blaster system alongside the blower door, ductwork leaks to the outdoors can be determined. Because ductwork is under pressure while in operation, leaks can mean big losses in energy. Not only do leaks cause the system to lose cold conditioned air to the outside, but the home will also equalize pressure by bringing in warm moist air from the outside through leaks.

Finally, the inspector will review annual utility bills and speak with the homeowner to determine where energy is being consumed and the best ways to increase efficiency. Energy costs are rising, call today and see how we can help.
